Helpful Study Tips For 9th Graders: How To Stop Delaying Homework
The foremost thing you should have to keep in mind is that now you are in 9th grade. Hence, the Board exams are round the corner. With due time, you will start feeling the burden of school, homework, reference studies, exams, tuitions or coaching classes. However, if you just concentrate on your lessons taught in school or tuitions and accordingly do the task given on time, you will find everything to be much simpler and smoother. This will not only stop you from delaying submission of home assignments but will help you to be a lot more confident in your next class.
Some helpful tips to stop delaying homework
- You should be attentive in class. If you are interested in your classwork, you will definitely not find your home tasks as a burden. Most assignments are given based on class notes, or the chapter taught in class on that day. So if you focus on class, it would be an easy task back at home.
- Maintain a proper time for your homework. It might be that you are finding it difficult to adjust your time for completing your tasks. Ideally it would be best to finish off your assignments in the afternoon. After that, you can go out for a break. Another option can be to finish off your other works for the day and keep aside 2 hours just before saying goodnight to the world. You can use those 2 hours for your home tasks. However, the choice of time should depend entirely on you.
- It is a good practice to maintain your priority list. It might happen that tomorrow you have a test and also have your homework to do. Maintain a priority list depending on which part you need to focus on. In such cases, you might need to put an extra hour or so if required.
- If you get your homework on a weekly basis, you can make things simpler by breaking down your assignments. You can divide your task into sub-task and complete each sub-task in a day. Sometimes it happens that we tend to complete the entire task on the last day before submission. This results in panic and stress. To avoid it, you can follow the method of breaking a task into sub-task.
The bottom-line is you should maintain a proper schedule and shouldn’t get distracted from it.
